The Winter Garden Police Department is pleased to announce the implementation of tip411 – a cell phone and web-based application which will help the public connect with Police to submit nonemergency anonymous crime tips 24/7.

The Winter Garden Police Department now accepts anonymous crime tips ONLINE. If you see something suspicious in your community or have specific information about a crime that has occurred in your area, please submit any information, photos, or videos in the form below. 

Please do not use this form to report emergencies or requests that require immediate law enforcement response. In an emergency, always call 911.

In addition to the online form, anonymous crime tips can be submitted using your cell phone: TEXT the keyword WGPD, followed by your crime tip to 847411. Help the Winter Garden Police Department keep your community a safe place to live.

Anonymous crime tips can be submitted through the Winter Garden PD APP. Download the Winter Garden PD app for iOS or Android and submit crime tips from your smartphone. You will also be able to enable notifications from the Winter Garden Police Department directly from the app.

tip411 Crime Fighting Tools


There are three ways to submit a nonemergency anonymous tip to provide vital information on crimes, criminals, or those engaging in illicit or criminal activity: Online, Text Message, Winter Garden PD App.

  • This service is being provided to the public for nonemergency use, tips may not be reviewed until the following business day. The Winter Garden Police Department may respond to your tip in whichever format you submit it.
  • Tips are entirely anonymous, and your contact information is not transmitted to the department.
  • In the event of an emergency, you should always contact 9-1-1. Tip411 is not a substitute for calling to request police in an emergency. 
  • If you have a non-emergency request for Officer assistance, need to report a crime, or fill out a report, please call the Winter Garden Police non-emergency number, 407-656-3636.

In addition, the public is invited to sign up for alerts to be notified of public safety information.

What is a Helpful Tip? 

Not all ‘tips’ are helpful. To ensure that you are contributing useful information, be sure to include as much information as you can that answers the questions: Who, What, When, Where, and How you know. See examples of helpful tips below: 

  • Not in-progress emergencies 
    1. Not helpful: “I need help now!”
    2. Helpful: “I’ve seen one of your “wanted” suspects frequenting the 123 Store this week.”
  • Suspicious activity
    1. Not Helpful: “I’m suspicious of my neighbor.”
    2. Helpful: "There have been a lot of strange cars and people at 1234 Any Street. Many people go in and come out of the house at all hours of the day and night and they are very noisy at night."
  • Traffic enforcement issues
    1. Not helpful: “People are always speeding in my neighborhood.”
    2. Helpful: “I notice people regularly speeding on 123 Any Street during the afternoons.”
