Commercial Solid Waste Collection
The City of Winter Garden strives to provide safe and efficient solid waste collection services to the City's commercial establishments. Dumpsters ranging from 2 to 8 yards are available, as well as 14-yard open-top roll-offs, serviced a minimum of one time per week to seven days a week. Rates and guidelines are summarized below.
Please note that the City of Winter Garden is a closed market (vendors must apply for authorization to provide services within City limits).

- If you are leasing, please keep in mind that only the account holder is authorized to make any changes to the service currently received, such as requesting an extra pickup, changing the service days, or changing the dumpster size.

STEP ONE – ESTABLISH AN ACCOUNT
Please contact Utility Billing to open an account (407-656-4100).
A completed and signed commercial service contract is required to begin service, along with payment of a deposit. The amount of the deposit is calculated as follows:
- New Accounts with No Prior History – The deposit amount is $300.00.
- Established Accounts Changing Ownership – The deposit is three (3) times the amount of the average bill.
STEP TWO – SELECT YOUR SERVICE LEVEL
Once the account has been established, please contact Alex Arce, the Solid Waste Supervisor, to select the size of the dumpster as well as the service days. Review our service rates and dumpster dimensions to help you decide which size dumpster and level of service is best suited to your business's needs.

- Services are billed on your monthly City water bill. In some cases, waste collection services may be billed on a separate account.
- Please contact Utility Billing with questions related to opening an account and payments (407-656-4100). For questions about rates, your service schedule, or your dumpster size, call 407-656-2256.
- The City provides recycling services to businesses producing a small volume of recyclables. Customers are provided with a 95-gallon capacity poly-cart that is serviced once a week. Requests to have multiple containers are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Please contact an outside provider should your business require larger-scale recycling services.
- Temporary roll-off dumpsters are available through the City. We offer 14-yard roll-offs. The cost is $250 each time the dumpster is emptied plus a per-ton disposal fee determined by the facility where the debris is brought for disposal. There is no charge to deliver or remove the dumpster. These charges are billed to your City utilities account.
- Businesses may also contact a select list of private roll-off container vendors authorized to operate in the City.
- If you are a roll-off container vendor and would like to apply for authorization to operate in the City, please submit a permit application.
Dimensions have been rounded up to the next half-foot increment.
