Winter Garden is getting a Boys & Girls Club! Thanks to the City’s partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Central Florida and Orange County, a 20,000 square-foot facility on 2.44 acres will provide flex space, services, and activities for kindergarten – 12th grade students, as well as meeting space for residents and the local non-profit community. To be located at 459 Ninth Street, construction will commence this fall.
On March 14, 2024, the Winter Garden City Commission granted approval to provide a land lease, waive fees, and contribute $1.5 million toward phase two of the construction of a Boys & Girls Club facility at 459 Ninth Street. The 20,000 square-foot building will be situated on 2.44 acres and include 39 parking spaces.
The programs offered by the Boys & Girls Club will provide well needed services and activities for Winter Garden students in grades k-12, as well as provide an additional multi-use meeting space for utilization by community stakeholders including residents and local non-profit organizations.
