National Prescription Drug TAKE BACK Day Helps Protect the Planet
Observe Earth Day by participating in the City’s National Prescription Take Back Day on April 22 to help protect the environment. Bring your unused, expired, or unwanted pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to the Winter Garden Police Department from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for a safe and environmentally conscious way to dispose of medicines.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, drug take back programs are one of the most effective and sustainable ways to dispose of unused medications. Unfortunately, many individuals dispose of medication by flushing down toilets or pouring down drains. This method contaminates oceans, lakes, and sources of drinking water, which leads to harm. Protect your home and your planet by participating in National Prescription Drug TAKE BACK Day.
Saturday, April 22 | 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Collection Site: Winter Garden Police Department, 251 W. Plant Street
