Commemorate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a community celebration! The event includes a parade, a lineup of live music performances, family friendly activities, displays, and food vendors.
FREE SHUTTLE SERVICE
A Free Shuttle will operate continuously from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on event day from the designated Shuttle Stop (848 E. Plant St.) to the event in historic downtown.
Free parking is available at the Shuttle Stop (848 E. Plant Street: southeast corner of 9th Avenue and Plant Street/across from Winter Garden Public Library).
The Shuttle is provided courtesy of City of Winter Garden.
PARADE
This signature City event kicks off at 10:00 am with a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Parade along West Plant Street.
To watch the parade, bring a lawn chair or blanket and head to your favorite viewing spot along West Plant Street (from Woodland St. to Central Ave).
All entries are eligible to win the Parade Spirit Award.
(Parade entry forms were accepted through January 10.)
LIVE CONCERT
Immediately following the parade at about 10:30 am, the celebration continues with a lineup of top-notch music performances at the Downtown Pavilion. The Gerry Williams Band, Craig Thompson Project, and Selwyn Birchwood will be taking the stage throughout the day with the event concluding at 4:00 pm.
