MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

A police officer candidate MUST:

• Be at least 19 years of age
• Be a citizen of the United States
• Be a high school graduate or possess a GED certificate
• Possess a valid Driver's License for at least one year
• Be able to pass an in-depth background investigation
• Be able to pass a general physical examination
• Be able to pass a polygraph examination
• Be able to pass a psychological examination
• Be able to pass a drug screen
• Be free of any felony conviction
• Be free of any misdemeanor conviction involving moral turpitude, false statement, perjury or domestic violence?
• Have successfully completed a CJSTC approved police academy
• Have successfully passed State of Florida Officer Certification Exam
